Chungará sits beside the international road inside Lauca National Park, yet its altitude asks far more of a visitor than any pull-over view. A measured ascent through Putre lets the body adjust and opens the wider park of wetlands and volcanic horizons. Clear weather gives the reflection; the landscape retains its scale without it.
